The year was 1942 and there was a vision to create an association that would . . . . 

• Provide members with a medium for exchange of ideas on mutual authority-related topics;

• Present a united and common front in advocating favorable legislation and opposing detrimental legislation; 

• Promote the general welfare of municipal authorities of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

That dream became a reality and PMAA is proud to support our members who are working to:   

• Provide services that protect and enhance the environment;

• Promote economic vitality; 

• Promote the general welfare of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  

Today, PMAA’s dynamic membership provides the unified and experienced voice for municipal authorities throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We owe our historic beginning and our promising future to the dedication of all Association members.

Throughout the year, we plan to highlight the many ways you are making positive impacts in your communities.
