The topic of PFAS is inescapable and actively developing in the Commonwealth and across the country. Through this presentation MABA presenter(s) will provide a history and overview on the EPA PFAS Strategic Roadmap, the EPA Proposed Designation of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) and Perfluorooctanesulfonic Acid (PFOS) as CERCLA Hazardous Substances, the Senate EPW Committee continued development of bipartisan PFAS legislation, as well as PFAS research including the National Collaborative PFAS Study conducted by Dr. Ian Pepper and his team at the University of Arizona. Attendees will leave the session informed and empowered to better assist their municipality's biosolids handling professionals with this difficult topic, as well as the citizens of their communities.
