There have been efforts to repeal or reform Act 12 to address the negative consequences of privatization. These legislative efforts aim to protect consumers from substantial rate increases and maintain local control over water and wastewater services. PMAA continues to work with the PA General Assembly on legislation to repeal and reform Act 12.
